Money-Saving Techniques for Your Wedding: Floral Arrangements

When you begin to plan your wedding, you quickly realize that the costs are going to add up incredibly fast. Each element, from the ceremony venue, to the reception hall, food, dress, flowers, music, and everything in between, comes at a fee, and you being to question if you can even afford to get married.

However, there are many steps that you can take to reduce your costs for your wedding. If you are creative and know your options, you can still have the wedding of your dreams at a fraction of the cost. So, start with something simple, like your flower arrangements and explore the many ways you can cut costs for your big day.

Silk Flowers Rather than Real Flowers

Real, fresh flowers can be incredibly expensive. This is particularly true if your tastes in flowers are either exotic or out of season. You could be looking at thousands of dollars to find the flowers you want and have them shipped to you fresh on your big day. Even high-quality flowers that are local and in season can cost a pretty penny.

So, instead consider the alternative of custom silk flower arrangements. Using silk flowers, you can get exactly the look you want at a greatly reduced price. The colors will be guaranteed to be vibrant and noticeable, and you will not have to worry about wilting or keeping your floral arrangements cool up until just before the ceremony.

Custom silk flower arrangements, whether you do them yourself or hire a professional like Primrose and Poppy, will give you more freedom to get just what you want without burning your entire wedding budget on the flowers alone. So, get creative and start designing your ideal floral arrangements.

Recycled Novel Flowers

If you are an avid reader, or simply want to have an eco-friendly or uniquely creative wedding, you might want to consider some do-it-yourself paper flowers. All you need to do is take some books that you no longer use or want, or that you pick up at garage sales and thrift stores and make your own novel flowers.

You can make paper flower wreaths, garlands, bouquets, or even individual roses with a little know-how and effort. If you decide to go this route, consider getting your friends together for a wine and flower-making party to make it fun. And remember, you can paint, stain, or dye the paper to add a colorful and interesting effect to your paper flowers. These are a great option for the reception to save you money on decorating if you opt for more traditional flowers at the ceremony.

As you can see, you do have options to reduce your wedding costs when it comes to your floral arrangements. Give these options a try and remember that there are always money-saving options available to you when you are planning your wedding.

About Me

Shopping for Playground Equipment

I’m Jason Baldwin, and my kids have the coolest playground ever! Our backyard playground took nearly eight months to complete. This is because my wife and I put a great deal of time and research into the equipment we purchased. We have three children that range from three to nine years of age. We wanted a playground that had things for each age child, in addition to equipment that will still be fun as they get older. Of course, the primary concern was safety. After safety, we had to consider what materials we wanted. We researched not only what looked nice, but would also hold up to weather conditions year after year. I am going to share what we learned and what we ended up purchasing. I hope this will help you make decisions for your playground.
